Veera was a guest twice on Kidlit TV! Here you can find her making her grandmother's recipe for Sai Bhaji, an Indian Sindhi vegetable dish that she mentions in The Night Diary.

She also makes a chickpea salad inspired by her chapter book series, Phoebe G. Green, here!

Epistolary Novel Prompts
An epistolary novel is a story written entirely in letters. In The Night Diary the main character, Nisha, tells her story in a diary which are actually letters she writes to her mother. To create these writing prompts, Veera teamed up with Sarah Kapit and Kelly Jones, who also have written epistolary novels. Their letter-writing prompts are linked below!
Here is Veera's writing prompt based on The Night Diary:
Write a Letter Explaining Your Most Favorite Food or Meal

Here are Sarah and Kelly's writing prompts:

Write A Letter to Your Personal Hero by Sarah Kapit, author of Get a Grip, Vivy Cohen!

Write A Letter You Can’t Mail by Kelly Jones, author of Unusual Chickens for the Exceptional Poultry Farmer

Read, Wonder, and Learn created by author Kate Messner

Veera was excited to be part of Kate Messner's amazing collection of authors and illustrators offering all kinds of learning opportunities. Check it out on Kate's website.
